Overview: Automatic ID verification will fail if any of the required checks for the ID is not met. If the automatic ID verification fails, the ID is sent to the clinic for manual review.
With an automatic ID verification, we check for the below components:
- The ID is not expired
- The ID is not fraudulent
- The name on the ID and DOB matches precisely the name on the consent form within the envelope (which matches the name and DOB on the EngagedMD record)
- The MRZs (machine readable zones), such as the barcode, decode to information that is consistent with the rest of the ID
- Visual features/holograms are consistent with what that ID type should look like
- There is no evidence of font tampering, letter spacing, holes or other defects in the ID
Failures may also occur if the signer’s documentation country of origin is not currently supported for automatic ID verification. Below are currently supported countries:
