Clinics can choose to enable or disable pre-populated signer information when adding Form assignments for patients.
Enabling pre-populated signer information (Default setting):
When clinics choose to keep the pre-populated signer information setting enabled, the staff signer roles (e.g., Doctor, Clinical Reviewers, Staff, etc.) will pre-populate with the names of the staff based on a combination of previous assignments and names most recently added to the episode of care. This is helpful for clinics if staff members often work on the patient from the beginning to the end of treatment, or if the signer roles for the clinic do not change often. If the logic of pre-populating signer information is helpful to a clinic, that will continue to be available by default.
In some cases, the roles displayed on the Assignment Settings screen will not be a direct match to the limited list of participant types. To verify how a role is mapped to a participant type, you can review the Form’s configuration in the Library of your practice.
Disabling pre-populated signer information (Upon request to EngagedMD team):
When clinics choose to disable the pre-populated signer information, they will need to contact the EngagedMD team to make the request. When this setting is chosen, the staff signer roles (e.g., Doctor, Clinical Reviewers, Staff, etc.) will be empty and the correct staff member name will need to be chosen. This is helpful for clinics if the staff members working on a patient often varies or if the patient is passed from team to team within the clinics. Disabling the pre-populated signer information reduces errors with assigning Forms and gives staff the ability to reassign forms without needing to remove all the pre-populated logic. If the pre-populating signer logic is disabled it will apply to all forms for that clinic.
Steps:
1. Decide if you want the pre-populated signer information enabled or disabled based on your clinic’s needs.
- If the preference is “Enable”, the default setting will be automatically turned on and if there are any questions please contact the EngagedMD team.
- If the preference is “Disable”, please contact the EngagedMD team to request that they turn off the default setting.
